A few years ago, I was just horsing
around and decided to go to bartending school. It was loads of fun,
and, since I wasn't in any hurry to graduate, I hung around for weeks afterward,
perfecting my skills. They had a morning class and an evening class,
so the afternoons were free to use for practice.
Being both creative and prolific,
I invented (or perfected) a number of things while I was there, then scribbled
them all down here. I also investigated things like the rate of the
speed pours, differences in glass sizes, made notes on what and what didn't
work when it came to learning a zillion recipes, and anything else that
came to mind. I wrote it as kind of a 'postgraduate' class for the
school's students and they put it on their web site. The place was
later bought out by somebody else and it's gone now — but preserved here.
