There are currently about 3,500 files on the site: 930 web pages, 1,950 pictures, 130 video clips, 180 Zip files, and a bunch of assorted support files and such.
It is actually a collection of sites, both big and small.  By far, the biggest chunk is my former computer video how-to site.  What was once regarded as perhaps the premiere video how-to site on the planet is now reduced to a mere button on a nav bar.  Such are the tides of time.
The reason there's no Comments area by each article is for three very good reasons:
  • I presume that you, like me, have read the horror stories from Ace, LGF, Captain's Quarters, et al, about their spamming problems and the time/effort/money involved to keep the problem down to a low roar.  I simply have no wish to go through that because...

  •
  • By my calculations, most comment areas stay on-topic for approximately 3.2 comments.  After that, half the time it turns into pure inanity and the rest turns into an ideological slugfest, often in the form of a liberal troll stirring up the masses.

  •
  • And probably the biggest problem is one of time.  You'd read a comment where someone misconstrued something you said and you'd just have to straighten him out.  And then another comment where someone called you a bad word and you're really gonna let him have it.  And, the next thing ya know, you've just blown two hours of your life for absolutely nothing.
So it's just not worth it.  Sorry.  Personally, I like comment areas, but the (vast) problems outweigh the good.
Nice fonts, eh?  Almost no one uses this particular font & style (Verdana 10 Bold), but I've always liked how easy they are to read, and the 'kerning' (the spacing between the fonts) in Verdana is better than Arial.
Except for the occasional "hell" and "damn", I would consider this site 'family-friendly'.  The little bit of sex, bad cuss words and violence is mainly confined to a few areas in the Media section.
There are no archives of the main page.  Most of it's just topical crap that won't mean a thing two months down the road, and the few pieces of lasting value will eventually find a home somewhere.  Most articles that are written to be permanent from the get-go are only listed at the top of the page.
Enjoy your stay,
